Springful feelings

Honestly, the spring is still not really here as it is currently 46 F - 8 C here. But I’m optimistic that sometime before summer we’ll get to see it. I’m mostly worried about fruits and veggies that the snow will eventually ruin. (Yes, there is snow in closeby cities).

You will love this hideaway in Positano

I have seen a lot of places in Italy, but Positano is not one of them, yet. Being a popular and sophisticated part of the beautiful coast of Amalfi, Positano has colorful little streets, trendy fashion boutiques, gorgeous sunsets, houses built on high cliffs and very, very charming hotels. This particular one is on my list: Casa Buonocore.

Over the years I have covered so many #SSS’s. This is just another, yet better. 



Optical Tricks
Mirros, focal points and wall colors, all can create the illusion of a bigger room.

Separate!
You might think your room is small as it is, but even separating a corner creates more space. You can use curtains, tall book shelves or even plants to separate your room.

Clever Closets
This is a type of the separation mentioned above. Hidden and functional closets fit as many things as possible and they are very practical in tight spaces.

Sliding Doors
Not only for rooms but also for closets and cupboards.

Hidden Floor Storage
This may be the ultimate small space solution for the tiniest of the rooms. You may need some work here to design and create the perfect floor storage system. But it’s worth it.

The essential pieces every micro apartment needs. I love how they are available in different prices and qualities.

Finally: Declutter!
The classic tip: Get 3 boxes and label them: Trash, Donate, Keep. Do this at least once a year. The relief you will feel at the end is priceless and I bet you really won’t miss that bag you bought in 2008.

Don’t we all just live for the holidays?

As a geniune  summer person, I hate cold, even at its mildest. Let me put it this way: When June comes, I start feeling sad because the precious summer’s finally here and that means it will go away soon (Plus I work all the time and it means I can’t even enjoy it as I wish). Told you.

So the absolute highlight of my winters, is the holiday season with all its warmness and the christmas songs, starbucks specials, sales and presents. So what happens in January? Hopefully not depression. Anticipation of April, now that sounds happier.

While we have time, let’s enjoy the hell out of the holidays folks!
